Edit Links showing links which are not in workbook

    Hi all,

this seem to be a problem I can't get my head around:

I have two workbooks. I've taken one worksheet from Workbook "A" and copied it to workbook "B". It contained formulas which resulted in: C:\Users\...\WorkbookA.xlsm!Formulaname.

I've replaced them with "" via Ctrl+H. The formulas look now normal and work properly. The Option Edit Links still shows me a connection to Workbook A though - if i click break link, all formulas get replaced with values(even though, there is no refference to workbookA anymore). Even after clicking break link, the link to workbook"A" remains under "Edit links".

I googled and googled and still can't figure out how to resolve this. Anyone got a clue what to do?

    Thanks!

Have a look and see if you have any named ranges that refer to Workbook A

@TmShucks: There are many named ranges, but none of them redirect to WorkbookA.

@JosephP: Yes, UDF's were located in WorkbookA. But the same UDF's are within WorkbookB and an addin which is loaded. I've replaced the affix(['workbookA xxx'!xlsm]) from all formulas so that the UDF's are like: =UDF1(A1,A2)

instead of replacing the path to the original workbook with "" you should use the new workbook path. you can also try using the edit links dialog to change the source file to the current file
