have list of dates, need how many of those dates fall between two other dates, monthly rpt

I need help, I have no clue!

I have attached a worksheet with a full explanation of what I need on it. But I have a column with referral dates, when I do a monthly report I need to know how many were referred within that month.

Thank you for your help!Although I appreciate everyone's help, yours worked the best, but I ran into another problem, I applied your equation to another section of my sheet and it worked great until I added the word "Pre-Trial" to my removal date column (R), I am guessing that "Pre-Trial" needs to equal "0", and if it does, I do not know how to do that.




Hi, Algebra looks the same and I am just as confused with this as I was with that! lol Actually I am beginning to understand a little more each time.

I am attaching my worksheet. Your function worked great until I added the word "Pre-Trial", we do not know what the end/removal date will be for these, so I need to have that in there, but I need it to count as zero.

I don't think ALgebra has anything to do with this case. Can you post a sample of what went wrong? Where did you add that word?
