Displaying or filtering Data based on a drop down selection

Hi everyone, im new to the forumn , and honestly kind of an excel newb

I'm doing a competitive comparison form for work and im having a little trouble.

Basically I have a form setup with direct cross over , so package A = package 1, but extrapolated over 200 rows. At the top I have created a drop down list of the packages, using data validation, and I would like it if when they selected one package it would only show that package in the column, rather than all the packages.

I have a feeling a may need to use visual basic to do it, but if I dont that would be great because i dont know how.

    Thanks

hmm. can you post an example? i think you will actually be able to do this w/o VBA using standard filters (or maybe a pivot table). Can see what i can do if you can post :D

Ok, I have two questions -- am I correct on the following assumptions:

You want to use different names for the same product, depending on the company?

These is some commons internal name for the products (which you can use as a key) that you would like to show in the "Lists" worksheet in place of the company-specific names?

No unfortunately unlike the example the Packages are not quite as transferable in some cases some products arent carried but one company or the other.
