    generate part list

    Hello

I'm designing a product. the part list was made in excel.
The product has the following structure:
    assemblyA:
    - 3x part1
    - 2x part2
    - 4x part3
    - 1x subassemblyX

    subassemblyX:
    - 2x part 1
    - 4x part 4
    - 3x part 5
    ...

the design consists of 8 assemblies which are all fabricated by multiple parts and subassemblies.
when a assembly is chosen in the order list (dropdown list), a list of all used parts (no subassemblies)should be generated.

Is this possible in excel or only by using Visual basic or Acces?

    Thanks in advance
    Stef

    partlist example.xlsxHello punna111

I attached a sample cheat as requested.
In this sheet you can find the structure i was talking about.
In the yellow cel there is a dropdown menu. this is not te problem.
When you choose for example assemblyA, the partlist for this assembly has to be generated.
I manualy filled in the partlist for assembly A in the blue cells.
This has to be generated automatically.

    Hello punna111

I prefer to have the list on a clean sheet. But the position is not that important.
