Question Help With Filtering In Excel 2010 64-bit

I'm working with a large 100mb .xlsb workbook. It opens relatively fast, closes fast, and saves fast as well. When I filter data it takes about 10 seconds to finish processing and when creating new columns or rows it takes about the same amount of time. Now my question. After I delete a column or row the software then filters instantaneously until I recalculate the formulas, then it goes back to taking 10 seconds to formulate.

Can anyone give me any insight into why that is? Is there a way I can have the software filter instantaneously without having to create and delete a column and keeping it going even after I calculate the formulas using F9? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. The specs for my current system can be found below.

    Current System:
    Intel Core i7
    8 GB RAM
    Windows 8 64-bit
    Excel 2010 64-bit
