    how to get rid of cells/grey out space/add background...example attached!

    hi, this is probably a really easy question but i've been trying to figure it out for ages and i have no idea to do it and the only way i can think to ask the question is by attaching a document! so in the attached document the outside of the white space is all greyed out and there are no cells...how do i achieve this??? how do i select which cells i want to grey out??

    Select all of the columns that you don't want to see. Then on the Home Tab in the Cells group choose Format Hide & Unhide and choose hide columns.
    Select all of the rows that you don't want to see. Then on the Home Tab in the cells group choose Format Hide & Unhide and choose hide rows.
    On the view Tab in the Show group uncheck Gridlines.

    The easy way to select that many columns is to click on the column header for the first column you don't want, Then Hold the shift key down and hit the End key and then arrow right.
    The easy way to select that many rows is to click on the row header for the first row you don't want, Then Hold the shift key down and hit the End key and then arrow down.
