    Adding Rows with Data

    Hi,

I have got a spread sheet (Attached) that works out the rankings of youth football teams so that they can be given fixtures against teams of the same ability.
I want to use the same system for another age group which has nearly 100 teams in it but I can't get it to work for over 50 teams.

With my basic Excel knowledge I have worked out how to add extra columns with the correct formula, but I can't work out how to add rows with the correct formula to the table that is in cells A12 -C12 down.

Ideally I would also like this table to show the team with the highest ranking in position 1 & in descending order from there - but I would be more than happy just to add the extra rows for now.

    Thanks

    Re: Adding Rows with Data

I'm not 100% sure where the problem is. When I typed in "test" AE2 It popped up in B11 that looks right. Then added a game in the yellow section "G through M" and it pooped up. I highlighted the BS column and copied it over to BT and the formulas copied correctly. And lastly to open Row 61 to Row 62 and the formulas copied correctly.

    Does that help any?

    Hi Profector,

Thanks for having a look at this for me.

The spread sheet works fine for up to 50 teams(Column BS) but I need to add another 50 - from Column BT onwards.

I can add the columns & formula but I can't get the team names or ranking points to transfer across onto Columns B & C automatically.

For example the team name in BT2 should copy to B62 & the teams ranking points should copy to C62.

    I hope this makes sense.

In Cell B12 change the fomula to =HLOOKUP(A12, $V$1:$DQ$800, 2, FALSE) and then drap that drop till you get 100 teams.

In Cell C12 change the fomula to =IF(B12=0,"",HLOOKUP(A12,$V$1:$DQ$800,C$11,FALSE))

Let me know if that helps.
