Database suggestions

Hi

I'm trying to build a database and I was hoping for some tips from forum members.

Basically I building a database of farms (at least over 1000). For each farm will track different types of production - soybeans, barley etc.

For each farm I will also track various cost associated with production like diesel, labour, inputs.

I'm hoping the database can be dynamic so that I can extract different data points at will.

Should I be using combination of excel and access or just excel.

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Database suggestions

Hi and welcome to the forum

If your access skills are as weak as mine, I would go with excel. You can have 1 big database on 1 sheet, and then use a bunch of other sheets to runs extracts, charts, analysis etc
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
