    Freezing dta in cells

I want to lock some data in a cell so that it will always remain no matter what is entered or deleted from the cell.
e.g. if I have "hrs" saved in several cells and I want to add numbers to those cells without having to go to the formula bar to enter them; if I try to enter them in the cell the "hrs"is deleted.
    Thanks in hope

If the unit of measure is always going to be "HRS" you can format the text. Right click > choose format cells > choose custom > Type in something like ##### "HRS" if its always going to be a whole numbers or something like ######.0# "HRS" if you want to see the decimals.

Then copy the format to other cells that need it.

Let me know if that works for ya.
