    Locking Selective Cells for Input

I have a spreadsheet where I want to lock up certain cells to prevent them from accepting inputs from users. Now, I may choose to dynamically change these cells to start accepting inputs at a later date. Is there a specific feature in excel that could help me enable this?

No specific feature that I have found.

As you may be aware, locking cells is a 2 stage operation - firstly lock the required cells, then protect the sheet.

Having done so, in order to select the cell(s) to unlock them you may need to unprotect the sheet, unlock and then re-protect

    To (un)lock a cell - right click / Format cells / Protection
    To (un)protect a sheet - file / protect worksheet

    Agree Above

    1> select all range ( Ctrl+A ShortCut) > Right PopupMenu > Format Cells > Protection > checked
2> select need allow edit cells range , do above same things , unchecked Protection
3> enabled Worksheet Protection with password ( don't forget the password )
    4> test it
