    Barcode info scan to excel

    Hi,

    i have a barcode scanner and need to scan the number into excel and once scanned to go to the next cell e.g A2 ready for the next scan. any ideas how this can be done ?

    BillyG,

    That should be a setting on your scanner to send the <CR> after the scan and then Excel has under options the direction to go after the enter key is hit (down or right).

    you using hand scanner, there should be a software for control the scanner input, as for my scanner which use datawedge, the "send Tab" or "send Enter" command is inside the config in datawedge, so once the scanner reads the barcode will auto sent tab or enter.

    Slaander,

    I have a generic CCD Barcode reader, and it seems the settings are "send Tab." How exactly do I change them to "send Enter." The device did not come with any software. Please advice. Thank you.
