Cursor Highlights the wrong Cells in Excel

I created a file on an excel template and then shared the template throughout the office. There is a multiple choice list in the template, however, for some reason the pointer finger is off when you try to select things. This works on the original computer is was 'created' on but it doesn't work on any of the other 'office' computers. Instead of clicking with the "finger" you have to click with the "wrist" and as you get toward the bottom of the list (about 12 items), you need to click almost three rows up from where the actual words are to select anything. I've tried zooming in and out and is does nothing.
