Question Is it possible to make a backup of custom Macro menu in Excel 2002?

    Hi all,

I am using MS Excel 2002 at home, and my school computer is still using MS Excel 2002.
I have written 12 macros in the Excel in my home PC, and I have assigned each macro with a custom button.

When I opened the excel file in school's computer, I did not see any assigned custom buttons appeared,
so I am thinking to make a backup of the custom Macro menu in the Excel I am using at home, and bring it to school.

I think it may be a good idea to make a backup file of the current custom Macro menu since
I had an experience that the custom Macro menu disappeared after I had reinstalled MS Excel.

    Please help if you could.

    Thank you.

    Kitty

It's normal practice to programmatically create custom menus specific to particular workbooks or alternatively you can associate your macro's to Personal.xls - this a workbook invisible except in the VBE but always in the background. It's usually used for general purpose macros.

As for backups - always, always, always backup your work to a safe location... I can't preach really, been caught out hundreds of times
