Question Extracting specific data from multiple cells and multiple columns in Excel 2007

    Hello Forum,
    Thanks for your time.
I have a large spreadsheet (data from over 1000 participants).
    There are 3 columns:
    A=Participant details
B=A series of numbers that corresponds to a particular survey question, from a 50-question survey
C=Their answer to each survey question (e.g., from 0 [never] to 10 [always])

I want to be able to see if how each participant answered to a particular survey question, might link to, or influence another,
e.g., do people who indicated "always or 10" for feeling anxiety, also tend to indicate "always or 10" for sleeping disorders?

How do I pull out two, separate and specific survey questions from column B as well as how they answered in column C?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!
    Sincerely,
    KiwiKJ

Re: Extracting specific data from multiple cells and multiple columns in Excel 2007

    Hi Andy,
I appreciate your time and expertise.
    Just to clarify,
If I have and Excel 2007 spreadsheet with column A consisting of participants A1 up to A1000 (1000 participants total)
and for each participant, they have 50 rows of data, corresponding to 50 survey questions listed in column B, with the answers for each of the 50 survey questions listed in column C.

If I want to pull out, let's say, the answers each participant gave for both: survey question number 4 and survey question number 8, for each of my 1000 participants, I would use the same technique?

    Thanks again,
    KiwiKJ
