Conditional Formatting on unit assignment and time

I've attached the second spreadsheet for better understanding.

I am trying to develop a formula that will compare the a unit number from one table (or range of cells) and highlight the correct times for that specific unit on another set of cells. I'm not sure if it should be a VLOOKUP, IF Statement, or what. I'm doing appointment scheduling, so it needs to compare the unit and its times and highlight the cells accordingly for each specific unit.

    This should get you started.
There seems to be something odd with your intervals in rows 1 and 2
For example, the first interval is from 8 till 8:15 and the next from 8:30 to 8:45
Shouldn't the second interval start when the first ended?

How do I highlight different blocks of time for the same unit. It is only highlighting one "block of time". For example, if unit one is 08:00 to 10:00 and later another time is 13:00 to 15:00. It does not highlight the second block of time.
