    Question Merge column data

    Hi

I am new to the forum but been playing with Excel for a number of years. This may be an easy fix but just cant seem to crack it.
I have a column of around 200 forenames and same number of surnames. I need one column with both names in. Is there anyway I can do that or do I have to start typing

    Thanks in advance

    Mick

Sorry, I knew I should have browsed the forum before asking!!!!!!
I found the answer on another thread. Thanks anyway.

    Great forum

    Re: Merge column data

Assuming the 1st name is in A1 and Last name is in B1, enter this formula into C1, then copy down column C

The & symbol will concantenate the names together, the "space" just seperates the names with a space...if you leave that out, the names will run together
