    Auto format cell based on other cell's value

    I think the best way to go about explaining this is to use an example:

    If A1="LTV" then I would like the value in A2 to be a formatted as a percentage, If A1="DSCR" then I want the value in A2 to be a general number with two decimal values.

    Conditional formatting will not really work here unless the values are ready to be made in to a percent. You could use a formula to do it, but need more data.

    I a sample sheet of how your data looks and what kind of results you would want would be great. Where are you getting the values from A2 for example?
