    How to re format a date label

    Good Afternoon from 14 degrees C about to rain Wetherby UK :-)

    A third party program ( http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps4f8e9039.jpg ) is exporting date ranges in this format:
    Month from 2012-05-04 to 2012-06-03. My question is please how coumd I change this: "Month from 2012-05-04 to 2012-06-03" to "May 2012"

    Thanks in advance,
    David

    Hi David;

    Assuming that it's consistently that same verbiage, you could give this a shot:
    =TEXT(MID(E16,12,10),"MMMM-YYYY")
    Going for Guru! Click the Star to the bottom left of this post if I helped!

    My head is mushed and I just can get this date format
    Month from 2012-05-01 to 2012-05-31 changed to May 2012 :-(

    Thank you for giving me this formula: =TEXT(MID(E16,12,10),"MMMM-YYYY")

    Ive illustrated my problem here:
