Opening Saved File also Opens Blank Workbook

Hello,

When I open any saved Excel file the saved file opens along with a blank workbook titled "Book 1". How can I make it so when I open any saved Excel file it only opens the file I want and not a new workbook every time?

Try this:


Clear the files from Excel startup folders from the location on your computer (make sure folders are empty):
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\XLStart
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

If you have a 64-bit system, you may have to make sure the below folders are empty:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\XLStart
