New sheet creation based on selection in a different sheet

Hi...new here...I think this is the right forum but this question may require a macro or VBA of which I'm not that familiar.

I have a workbook I created for sales reps that configures our products and calculates many different numbers for purchase, lease, maintenance amongst other things. I have all of these numbers flowing to a summary sheet so they can see and use the results. What I would like to do is give the reps a "selection" button or cell to populate that would make Excel create a new sheet from a template we use for pricing. The data for the new sheet needs to be mapped based on their selection. I know I can link the data between existing sheets but we don't normally use all of the data the workbook creates in the summary for a proposal (some people don't want to lease or take maintenance etc.) and the sheer number of permutations kind of makes that impractical.

I'm sure there is a way, based on a selection in the summary page, that Excel could take the proper data and create a new sheet from a template. I also have prospect name, address and other data in one of the sheets in the workbook that I would want to map.

The main idea is to make it easier for them to produce the proposals and make it salesperson proof (no offense to sales folks - I am one!).

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,

Post a sample of your workbook as well as the desired result.

Here are the files. One is an example of the calculator and the summary sheet in that workbook is where most of the info will come from. However, it would be nice to know how to map data from any sheet in any workbook. The second file is the example of a price sheet template which is the target file. Again it would nice to have excel "create" a new sheet from scratch with the appropriate from the template although I'm not sure that's possible with my limited capabilities. thanks again for the help.

    Hi,

I am still not too clear on what exactly is required and what you mean by "mapping the data". Can you be more clear on what it is that you want to achieve?

by mapping I mean coordinating the data in certain sheets to areas in the newly created sheet. I'd like the Excel to create the new sheets from a template and populate it with certain data from other sheets in the workbook based on the users selections in those sheets.

example: the rep runs enters the appropriate information and the workbook has now has the numbers needed for a proposal. The customer wants to see a purchase cost with warranty and a FMV lease for 36 months with no deposit required. I'd like to give the reps a check box or a cell they can populate that would tell Excel to create a new sheet from our pricing template with their data in the proper places on the new sheet.
