Making cell changed colour, on input.

    Hi Group,

I would like a row of cells to change colour on the input of "H" or "A" which = Home & away.

So cell B58 has the letter "H" input i would like the cells A58 to E58 to change to Green, if cell B58 has "A" entered then cells in same range change to Red

I don't know how to do this and would appreciate any help/solution you can give me.

    Regards
    Mike

    Thanks for your reply.
    It worked.
I'm having a problem copying that formula down to B83 so as I enter "A" or "H" in the "B" coloum the corresponding cells will also change colour. ie A58 to E58 A60 to E60 right down to A83 to E83.

Not sure what copy function to use.
    Never used conditional formatting before?
    Thanks
    Mike

    =$b58="a"

Don't use the second $(after b) and increase the range to b58:b??? 1000?

Sorry a bit thick here Didn't quite understand that and couldn't get it to work. Probably making a hash of it.
