    Transfer Data to different columns

    Hi,
    I have a sheet with 1250 data.
    All are in Column "A"
I want to print them out and therefore would like the data also in Column "B" and "D" in order to save printing paper and make it easier to search.
Since the data is alphabetical sorted, doing it manually is a big job.
I am sure there is an easier way.

    Thank you.

how many lines per page? Depending on the font size you can squeeze 50-80 lines...

If you have Word, copy the data from Excel and Paste into Word. In Word you can easily select the number of columns that you want to print per page and the order of your data remains intact.

Could I also print a grid in Word? This is why I like Excel.

If you paste as a table then the contents of each Excel will be in a cell but the columns will be separated. It is quite easy to read. I don't know what version of Office you are using. I'm using version 2010 so the procedures might be a bit different.

Your only other possibility as I see it is to manually copy the columns in Excel to be side by side.

Thank you all! I solved my problem with Word. was surprised how easy it went... without the grid, but I suppose, I could column by column copy back if I really need the grid.
