Keeping data updated when using 2 tables

Is there a way of keeping data updated in 2 seperate files?

I have 2 files. One called "Raw Data" and one called "Accreditation".

The "Raw Data" file has dates associated with names and the "Accreditation" file has a formula that states if the date of recertification is in the future for that particular individual.

Now, if i have both files open and move a cell with the date to another cell in the "Raw Data" file, the "Accreditation" file will move the cell reference appropriately, which is great and that is what I want it to do. However if I just have the "Raw Data" file open and move a date to another cell, it is not replicated on the "Accreditation" file.

Is there a way that I can always keep both files up to date?

I have attached the files for some clever person to look at.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Is there any reason why you cannot have both files on separate worksheets in the same Workbook and if need be password each sheet to prevent unauthorised access?

Yes, after about 3 hours of submitting this post I have realised that this would be an option, I just wonder if there is any other way of keeping the files updated when keeping the 2 files seperate.
