How do i create a calendar drop down in excel?

    Hi,

I am making a "Master" tab which is used to track projects and i want to be able to click a Cell G (Start Date) and a calendar pops up to choose a start and finish date for the project.

How do i create this calendar? I'm at work so there is no enterprise edition and i am not very experienced in VBA.

Is there any straight forward way to do it? i have attached my file. Looking to put a calendar in Column G and Column H.

    Your help is much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

This is a common problem/request. it seems to change with each new version of Excel. See http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...-calendar.html for some past conversations on this topic.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

What do you mean? Are there any other constraints to your problem?

I've battled to get the MS Date Picker up in Excel 2010, so have given up in disgust...

The attached is a self-contained pair of "boxes" (one for start-date and one for end-date) you can paste into a worksheet and then reference the date cell in the balance.
It uses drop-downs to allow selection of Year, Month, Day and if all are left blank , retrieves today's date and displays both Weekday and Date.

    Home-Made Date-Picker.xlsx

I hope that's of some use...

    Dave
