Comparing two tables to identify matches to be highlighted

I have two tables. Table A has 13 columns and 641 rows. Table B is in a different tab within my excel file but is only one column with 216 rows. Starting with Table A I need it to look up for the value in Table B. If the the value is matched, meaning they appear in both tables, I want the cell highlighted in Table A.

insert /name define (or name manager) select table b and call it say "mytable"
in table A select first cell and conditional format as formula option assuming its say cell c1
    put
    =countif(mytable,c1) pick a colour/format
copy the format to rest of table a

Re: Comparing two tables to identify matches to be highlighted

    Hello,
I'm new here and was looking for a solution to a problem that I'm having .... it's very similar to this so maybe just a bit of tweaking and it'll be good to go?

Here's my dilemma: I have 1 tab with 4 columns and about 104 rows; I need to compare the 4 values in each row and see if there are ANY duplicates among the 4; if so I need to make them a different color or highlight them or something. Any ideas?

    Thanks a million!

    Hi Jekidi,
Thanks for the response - I tried that but I need to compare rows not columns and, unless I don't how, I wasn't able to do so.

I was notified that I broke a rule in the forum by posting my question in someone else's question so I'll be creating a new question for my issue. Thanks!

Sorry, I didn't realize I was breaking a rule.... I just saw this question and got pretty excited that maybe there was an answer and just replied! I admit that I did not read the rules........ I will post a new question for my issue.

    Thanks.
