Need to compare two columns and add values to a new column.

I have column A that has email addresses that I need to compare to column B (also emails obviously). Now heres the tricky part, if there is a match I need to input a value (Y or N for example) into a blank column to diffrentiate between some of these rows. Now the two columns are not the same size, meaning column A is about 2000 rows less than column B so it needs to input the value on the proper row of the match. Can this be done?

Need a little more detail to this. At first I thought you were comparing A and B values on the same row (A1 and B1, A2 and B2 etc) but it seems like you want to see if A1 for example is found anywhere in Column B? Can you please explain exactly how you want to search/compare each column etc. Also where will the Y/N value go?

It would be best to create a workbook with mock data to show what you are trying to achieve here. It doesn't need to be a massive file, just create one that is similar in data to your real file. To upload this file click Go Advanced futher down on this page and then click Manage Attachments.

Yes. I need to see if any values from column A match any values in column B. If there is a match, I need the new value to go into the new column (M) of the row that matches the value from column A.
