    Problems with copy paste special

Hello. I want to select the entire worksheet and copy/paste special values but it won't let me? Why? I've never had problems with this before. Thanks.

In what way "won't it let you"?

    What happens?

Re: Problems with copy paste special

I select the button at the top left corner to select the entire worksheet, then when I click copy paste special it says the sizes aren't the same, which doesn't make any sense.

Re: Problems with copy paste special

I just did what you said, and apart from a warning about taking a long time because of lots of data, it copied fine?

On a side note, I always set up my files so that they "grow" downwards over time - my dates always go down and my other headings go across the top. Its easier to scroll downwards, most of excels formulas/functions just naturally work (better) vertical - and you have a heck of a lot more rows than columns

I've gotten that message when trying to paste to a different version of excel, if that helps.

Hmmm, now it works. Maybe it was because I had the filter on.
