Help to remove timestamp from date in Excel 2007

    Hello,

I have a column of dates which appear with time stamps e.g. ‘2007-12-15 00:00:00.000’, I only want to see the 2007-12-15 part, preferably as 15/12/07, I've tried right clicking on the cell clicking on 'Format Cells' and selecting 'Date' and choosing the format that I require, I've also clicked on 'Custom' and selected dd/mm/yyyy, but this has not made any difference, can somebody suggest a solution?

    Thank you

If I put the number in as you've shown the numberformat works fine.... If Excel is displaying the apostrophe's as well then you need to edit replace them.
    1. Select the data column
    2. Select replace (CTRL-H)
    3. Replace what ... '
    4. Replace with .................Leave blank
    5. Replace All
    Elegant Simplicity............. Not Always

When I copy and paste the date and time that you give into Excel two spaces appear between the date and time. When one space is deleted, the date and time can be formatted in any way I want including dd/mm/yyyy.
