the cells that some rows have in common

Hi,
I know nothing about excel, and I don't even know if excel is the right program for what i need.
I've made a big spreadsheet so that I can find formation in it. Could someone please tell me how I can find the cells that some rows have in common? For example: row 1 has the cells 1 (Ana) and 2 (Chris), row 2 Laura, Ana and Tamara, and row 3 has the cells Martha and Ana. How can I get Ana (the cell in common) to be the result?

Hello and welcome to the forum. I would suggest uploading an annotated example spreadsheet to clearly display your aim.

It sounds like a simple countif will suffice, but best upload a spready

OK. Do you want to find the name with the most occurrences in the grid, or by row/column? What cell do you intend to have the result in also, I will write a formula to copy in.

Sorry, forget what I said before. I think it's easier to explain this way:

I need to find the numbers that some rows (or names: Ana, Laura...) have in common (I need to do this lots of times with lots of names, but this is a small example).
So for example, the first time I need to know the numbers that Ana, Laura and Manuel have in common, so the computer should give me nš17 as the answer. If I ask for the numbers (or cells) Chris and Eddie have in common, the computer should say nš2, nš3 and nš4. I'm not looking for the name/number that appears more times in the grid, but for the one that the rows I select have in common.
