Cascading two tier drop downs in form control

    Hello,

I am having some trouble with cascading two tier drop down. I cannot seem to find out how to do it. I am trying to create a two tier cascading drop down in form control. I want the first drop down to be Products we have and the second one to be customers. I also want to be able to create a bar chart from these drop downs where after we choose our customer by product, it shows the revenue we have recieved from the customer by months. Is there a way to do this? I figured out how to do this with just one combo box, but I am unable to do a cascading one.

If you can help in anyway, I would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Erica

The solution to this will depend on how you enter the data in the first place, ie your source data from where you will get your filtered information.
Can you upload a sample file showing how your source data is laid out please (click Go Advanced then Manage Attachments). If your table has columns Customer/Product/Month/Revenue (say Col A-D) then you can use a sumifs to get the revene from Col D when Col A B and C all meet the criteria specified but a different layout may require a differetn solution. Uploading a file will help us provide a solution for your needs.
    Say thanks, click *

Attached is a basic example of a solution for your needs i believe.
I've put everything on the same sheet for ease, you can put items on different sheets if you so require.

Let me know if this is along the lines of what you require and also if there is anything you need clarifying.

Thank you for that solution, but want the graph to move according to the choices i made. For example, I choose customer 1 and then product 2 and the graph would change to show the product 2 sales for the months. It would show the representation of the selection I have made. How would you make the graph change with the drop downs i choose?

Ooops, Nvm. It does work. haha

But I have another question. If I wanted to do it by product and then customer, how would I create it so that when I choose the product, the second drop down only has the customers who use that product? I wouldn't want all the customers to show up.
