help with numbering

Hello everyone,

My name is Tim and I am pretty new at excel and I need some help.
I am sure it's easy for you guys but I can't find a soulution and would like you're input.

Problem:
Let's say I have in colummn A1 to A10 number 1 and from cell A11 to A20 number 2,
how can I sequence these numbers automatically (so the next sequence would be A21 to A30 number 3,
and from A31 to A40 number 4 ect..). I can't seem to find a way to automatically generate number that
are the same 10 cells at a time.

I would really appriciate you're help.

In A1 and copy down as required:

=CEILING(ROWS($A$1:$A1)/10,1)

One more question, how would you do the same problem as above but insted of numbering 1,2,3 you
could display a date?

If you put the same dates in cell A1:A10 then in cell A11: =A1+1 and copy down
And don't forget to format the cells as Dates
