Referencing another worksheet

Hi, I have a question on cross-referencing 2 spreadsheets.
I have one document with a list of names, where "Mr. and Mrs." are combined, for example:

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Clark
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
etc.

the 2nd document contains the same names, along with other, extra entries, and is formatted with the "Mr." and "Mrs." separate, like so:

Mr. Larry Clark
Mrs. Larry Clark
Mr. John Smith
Mrs. John Smith
Mr. Steve Doe
Mrs. Steve Doe

i need to end up with the names in the format of the 2nd list, with the Mr. separate from the Mrs., but without all the extra names, i.e. without the Doe's.

Is there any way i can have excel reference the first list, and if there is a last name that does not appear there, to delete, or otherwise filter, those names on the 2nd list?

Its alright providing sample data such as this

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Clark
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

but any solution provided will probably ONLY work for that type of format since youve only provided ONE type of format.

Does ALL the data conform to this format or are there variations of this?
If so, what are those variations?

What he is saying is provide a workbook sample that has ALL the types of iterations. Also do you need to capture the Mr. and The Mrs. if they are both there?

Give a sample workbook with the iterations AND what you would like the outcome to look like.
