Sort by descending order, but the blank spaces come on top

    Dear all,

Some cells of my file are made as blank spaces (e.g. =""). This can suppress the display. But this has a problem. If people sort the column based on descending order, then the blank spaces "" come on top which is not nice in my case. Only if people sort it by ascending order, then that looks fine.

Can I ask if there is a way that people can sort by descending order and still the cells with valid values show on top, instead of the blank cells ("")?

    Thank you

    Hi,

Not quite sure what you mean by 'unknown values' but replace blank spaces with nothing, i.e. make sure the cells are blank

The blank spaces are made as "". So when I sort the column by descending orders, the cells "" come on top, and the cells with numeric numbers show at the bottom. What I want is actually the useless cells "" always stay at the bottom.

    Hi,

Can't you just remove the ="" formula?
