purchased excel file has stacked alternating rows to create a single record..msword label

Tester checks template2.xlsxThis issue has stumped several local experts
I have a Excel file with 3000 records with staggered rows of information so a1 has name field b1 is blank but b2 has address field b3 has city b4 has state but a5 has zip code. b2 cells are wrapped so that if address is too long it will wrap to cell a2

It is easy enough to read as all records are contained in two rows.

It is a nightmare to create MSWORD labels as the fields are difficullt to define.

How could I modify the existing data base to make a single row contain all active cells (9 cells in row 1 and 8 or more cells in row 2 because of wraps)

I will be glad to share this confusing file for purpose of clarity in seeking solutions.

Can you just concatenate all the cells for a single record, then parse?

Might help if you supplied a sample file.

Sorry for the delay, I don't get back here every day.

Looking at your file, it appears as if each record consists of 2 rows; using rows 2:3 as a sample, A2 Is Vendor Name, B2 is some undefined number, C2 is is invoice#, D2 is Check Date, E2 is Check No, F2 is Amount, A3 is the Address Line 2, B3 is Address Line 1, C3 is City, D3 is State, and E4 is Zip.

If this pattern follows thruout the file, then it should be relatively simple to read these into arrays and then output them in some more desireable format. This could be donevia macros. An alternate approach could be with formulae. I have attached a file with a formulaic approach. Does that do what you are after? I combined the address lines into one cell, but you could easily separate them as necessary. Once the formulae were in place in row 2, I just copied rows 2:3 down to get the result as shown. I only did this for the first several entruies, so if this is what you're after, just repeat for the remainder of the file.
