I have a large file (~105 MB). Everything was working perfectly last night when I saved the file. This morning I opened the file and when I went to edit data in a cell that is referenced by a VLookup the file locked up. After a few attempts reopening I realized that any time I edit either a cell that has a formula or is referenced by a formula the file freezes. However, I am able to edit a cell that is not referenced by a formula. In addition, the file also freezes everytime I attemt to do any filtering. After much frustration I thought that I would start trying to extract my data into a new sheet so that all was not lost. So, I cut the first row out of my spreadsheet and put it into another sheet (just so that I could salvage the formulas). As soon as I cut this first row out, the original spreadsheet started working perfectly again! More confused than ever, I thought to myself well maybe I can now put that first row back in and be good to go. So, I pushed control+Z and just like that my original spreadsheet was restored to perfect working order. I then saved, closed, and reopened the file. When it reopened I had the same problem once again and the same solution once again fixed the problem. Unfortunately I do not think I will be able to post the spreadsheet due to the data in it. I also had one of my coworkers attempt to open the spreadsheet and they had the same issues on their computer.
My question: Has anyone ever encountered this before?! Am I going to have to continue doing this each time I open my workbook?!
Thanks in advance for any help or insights!
