    Post Merging two lists with varying numbers of columns

    Dear all,

    I would like to merge two lists in Excel 2007 while keeping some information associated with one of them.

    List 1:
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    and List 2:
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    List 1 does not contain all headers from List 2, only a selection.
    List 2 contains more data associated with headers that I would like to keep.

    Using the the example above, I would then like to obtain:
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    I've tried to fiddle a bit with the functions in the "Data" tab, but I can't really get anything conclusive.

    Hi guillm,
    vlookup can solve your problem.

    VLOOKUP( value, table_array, index_number, [not_exact_match] )

    Thank you for your quick reply. I didn't know about VLOOKUP, tried it, and it works perfectly.
