Excel in two different languages

Hello,

I made the mistake of using Excel 2007/2010 in two different languages on two different computers. Almost all formulas have a different name (http://wwwhome.ewi.utwente.nl/~tries...cel/excel.html) but I learnt everything I know with the English one so it's quite a pain.

However, when I open one file made with one version with the other version, all formulas are correctly translated automatically, which makes me think that there must be a way to change my non-English version to an English one? I can go to the "Excel Options", but "Language" only allows me to define the language for display and spelling check.

Hi, and thanks for your rapid reply.

This was helpful, although it somehow doesn't seem to apply for me. It says "Microsoft Office uses the default input language in the Windows operating system to determine the default language for Office programs". This is wrong in my case, I have installed a French version of Office 2007 on an English OS. Same when I check the language options in Office, it's all set up to English, which makes me now suspect that what is described in the footnote of the page above is true here: "If for some reason, your default display or Help language is not available, Microsoft Office uses the next language in the list that is available." (which is French in my case).

Is there a way to download English "definitions" for non-English Office? It seems to be possible here: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...ctID.254514800 but I'd have to pay again and I'm not sure it's the right one (they talk about help contents, display language, etc, but nothing on Excel formulas). If somebody has done that in the past, that would be very helpful.
