Need help with calculating waiting time

Hi

Please can I have any help with the spread sheet I am doing, I have to log individuals coming in for appointments, what time they coming in and what time they went then put a time along side saying how long they have been here eg...

name in out waited
Julie 14.33 17.34 3 hrs 1 min


I have this on an excel spread sheet but I am having to calculate the waiting with a calculator. There must be a formula that I can use to calculate ever one in turn? has to be the 24hr clock as some are coming up with 1.79

Can you post the Form so we have something to work with but basically its =sum(whatever cell 17:34 is in - whatever cell 14:33 is in)
