    Dependent on Highlight

I'm looking a formula that can change a cell's output depending on which cell is currently highlighted.

    To give an example:
    IF B1 selected: Output X
    IF B2 selected: Output Y
    Otherwise: nothing

Is there a way I can do this in excel?

    Thanks for any replies!

Try pasting the following into the appropriate sheet tab (e.g. Sheet1) in the VBA editor (Alt F11)
