Dynamic range for columns

There is a formula for creating dynamic ranges across columns but it is for just one row. How would I make a formula for multiple rows to automatically update across columns. The original formula is something like offset(A1,0,0,Count(2:2)) I think that's right, but I want one that works for multiple rows at the same time. Thanks.

Where column A cells are the row labels and row 1 are the column labels.

If A or 1 don't happen to contain a contiguous list of cells then pick a column or row that does. This will ensure your range always covers all data.

Its hard to suggest anything on such scant info If you use the FX when creating the offset, it will guide you in what you need to do/use, but you are probably using offset() as part of another function?

I would suggest you upload a sample work book, (all sensitive data removed), showing what data you are working with, a few examples of what your expected outcome is, and how you arrived at that
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

    Re: Dynamic range for columns

I don't understand how people are not understanding me lol. I've explained with words and with a spreadsheet in previous examples. I'm going crazy. This is my last try (this is an example): In column A, I have A1, A3, A5 selected as a named range. Now, in column B, I have input numbers into B1, B3, and B5. I want something that will make the named range update to include these cells. So, the named range will be A1,A3,A5 AND B1, B3, and B5. Originally, I wanted the named range to just include the new column but I don't know if this is possible. Also, there is data to the right of Column B. (Example) column T has data. Each month I will create more columns and add data to the right of column A. This has to make sense. Everyone is giving me solutions that don't work or don't make sense HELP!!!!!!

@ Buttrey...that doesn't accomplish what I want. Good effort though.

You know exactly what you mean and what you are working with, but dont assume that we do as well...in most cases, we take big guesses as to what is meant in a post

    Tsk tsk,

This is not the sort of attitude that is going to help you. Maybe there is a message in your opening sentence. Stand back and think why a moment.
You've been asked to upload a workbook yet I don't see one. So be good enough to do so and say exactly which range of cells you expect to be covered by a dynamic range formula.
