    Construct a matrix

    Hi everyone,

    I am trying to construct a matrix in Excel where each element is a function of two variables. Please see the following picture.

    Excel.jpg

    The first of these two variables are kept in row#1 and the second are kept in the first column. Any element in the region enclosed by the red rectangle will be a function of its corresponding variables. For example;

    B2=B1+A2;
    C4=C1+A4;
    B5=B1+A5 and so on.

    Can you please help me how to implement this as a function?

    Thanks.

    To attach a Workbook
    (please do not post pictures of worksheets) <<<<<<<<
    • Click Advanced (next to quick post),
    • Scroll down until you see "Manage Attachments",
    • Click that then select "add files" (top right corner).
    • Click "Select Files" find your file, click "open" click "upload"
    • Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    • Click "Done" at bottom right to close the Attachment Manager.
