Post Importing selected data from a CSV file to excel

Hi all, this is my first post here.

Like the title states, is it possible to import just a portion of a csv file into my excel workbook? For example:

My csv file has data from 2010-2015. I want to somehow import only data between 2013-2015 from the csv file into my excel workbook every time I click refresh.

I cannot delete data from the source file because many other people are using the same file. Is there some sort of "SQL" for excel that makes it possible to trim csv file?

    Thanks,
    Jon

In Excel 2003, and probably in your version there is an external data 'Import Wizard'.

    1. Go to Data > Import External Data > Import Data
A 'Select Data Source' screen will appear.

    2. At the bottom of the screen 'Files of Type', select the Folder that contains your data,
select 'Text files (*.txt; *.prn; *.csv; ...', then 'double click' on the file you want to Import.

    3. Import Wizard Screen 1 should be self explanatory (delimited or fixed width; starting row).
Click on 'Next' when you are done with Screen 1.

    4. Import Wizard Screen 2 lets you select one or more delimiters (tab, comma,...) if a
delimited file, or the width of each field if a fixed width file.
Click on 'Next' when you are done with Screen 2.

    5. Import Wizard Screen 3 lets you select the format of each column, and which columns to SKIP.
Click on one column at a time and make your selections.
Click on 'Finish'. The Wizard then asks where you want the data.
