Get Background on whole Page, not just cells

I have one design for all the papers of my company, and I want to use the same design for Excel. However, when I set it as a background in Excel, it is a background only on the area of the cells. Both the Excel sheet and my design are A4-sized.

As you see my background gets cut where the cells stop, but both the Excel-paper and my background are exactly the same size. What to do?

Go to this web site and near the bottom of the page is a pretty good explanation of how to insert a picture into Excel's header that will act as the background. You can set the size and other settings.

Thanks! It worked as far as the view in Excel goes, but when I try to print it or save as PDF it neglects my zero-margins...

The Zero margin problem is likely due to the printer driver's interpretation of what you want. Not all sizes of paper are easily accommodated for zero margins. It depends upon your printer and its driver.

It requires a special printer to print full bleed (all the way out to the edges of the page). Garden-variety printers require space for paper handling.

That's horrible, but ok, I'll search for a method to combine Excel's values on a PDF-background. I hope that's possible then.

Thank you for taking the time explaining it to me! As far as the stars go, that's new for me, so I will use them in the future.

The solution of the problem is not there, but the answer lies somewhere else considering the topic title. So closing this topic is ok, I better open a new one when necessary how to combine Excel's output with an existing PDF. Thanks again!
