Wink Houston we have a problem here!!! Why are my cells continously overlapping??

    Ok. Here is the problem.

Problem 1: Cell B102 And Cell B103 are not unified like the rest of the cells. Cell B103 drops down to the next page? Why??

Problem 2: Beginning at Row 208, rows begin to overlap each other. Is the some type of auto row height adjustment I clicked on accident? Why??

Thank you for your time. I am a noob.
A copy of the file is below.
    Thanks again.

Did you create this formatting by copying and pasting ranges of rows? It seems that things started to go wrong around row 80.

Here is a revised excel document to give you an idea on what I am trying to accomplish.

    The problems:
problem 1: Cell B103 runs off the page.
problem 2: After row 125, all the rows are overlapping and have different row heights.

    What are the solutions?
If I start a new document, I still get "Problem 1" and solves Problem 2 .

The formatting of this version appears to be ok. The file though is quite large for what it is.

I would make a template of two pages that are perfect (create a template file) out of what you have and only use pages as you need them. As you can see, your document is approaching 800K and there isn't any data in the form.

Also, wherever possible don't use Merge and Center, use Format Cells, Alignment, horizontal, Center Across Selection and use a larger cell height to get the same result as merged cells. This will give you the functionality of normal cells that is not available with merged cells.

You have 3 subjects listed across the top but they take up 12 columns. What is going in these columns for each date? Do you require 2 rows for each date?

Is this form for clients as a receipt?

Is it possible that there is an automatic format I clicked by accident every time I create a new document?

I just created a new document and the row height for all rows are 0.17" instead of the default of what I thought was 0.18" for all row heights.
Maybe there is a creeepy crawler in my computer playing hack games on me?

The only reason why I use the merge tool is to design the layout of the excel document.
What are the drawbacks of using the merge tool versus the format cells?
Also this document I am trying to create will be used as a long term document.
The reason why the document is that big is because I cleared the data that was stored in the cells. Apparently the data is still in the document I tried to mock up as an example of what I am trying to accomplish. Working on another example excel document right now to post to this thread using the format cells technique.

Re: Houston we have a problem here!!! Why are my cells continously overlapping??

If a new document opens with more than a blank spreadsheet, then the template Excel opens when opened has become contaminated/or corrupted somehow. It seems very strange to me that the document is so large considering that it has only 2 small graphics in it (unless the graphics are large in size)

I created a workbook with approximately the same formatted cells going down 200 rows and from column A to Q and the size of the file was 15 KB.

The document isn't very complicated so I would make note of what is formatted and the content and start a brand new document. Don't copy anything from the original to the new one. Create it from scratch as I have the feeling that the original is somehow corrupted.

Re: Houston we have a problem here!!! Why are my cells continously overlapping??

Is it possible to format cell a top and bottom cell with the text in the middle of the cell.
As in the second document with the date instead of merging the cells

Example: Cells B8 and B9 has the date, but the cells are merged.

Can I format the cells to have the same center effect without having to enlarge the B8 row?

WOW holy smokes I fixed it. I was delusional. I had thought that the default row height for every document created was 0.18"
When in fact it was 0.17"
I need a cold glass of water and some sleep.
    Thank you for your help.
Wish I could tip you $$.
