    Condition Formatting grey strikethrough

    Hello,

I am using Condition Formatting in a excel sheet based on data validation.

When I select "done" I would like the entire row to be in grey and strikethrough. I have been looking in the data validation but could not figure out how to select the entire row to be modified (grey + strikethrough)

    Can you please help me?

    Thanks,
    Graig

    Re: Condition Formatting grey strikethrough

If you have the validation list in Column A, starting from A2, you could use this in CF rules.

    =$A2="DONE"

Select your color and select your range in this way.

    =$2:$1000

How can you use Conditional Formating.

--In Excel 2007 and 2010, Conditional Formatting is in the Styles group on the Home tab. In Excel 2003, Conditional Formatting is on the Format menu. See here how you can work using CF.
    Regards

    Re: Condition Formatting grey strikethrough

    Hello,

Thanks but I am not quite sure it would do what I expect. As per the attachment, if you change G2 to Done I would need the entire row to be in grey color and strikethrough.

    Hi Graig.

    =$g2="done"

    See the example.
