Find unique customer ID

Someone said that this is a duplicate post (it's not, the other one had to do with conditional formatting...)

How can I differentiate between these types (these are just examples but the format is the same) of ID's. Essentially, how do I identify (find/select?) line items that start with 6 numbers (as opposed to 12) and how do I identify line items that START with MB? Thanks.

I've been reviewing your recent posts and in my opinion this is essentially the same as your post yesterday at http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...ml#post3435614

I've also noticed that the way you respond is shall we say sometimes unfortunate at best and not always with the respect that is due. Everyone here posts freely of their own time and there is consequently no service level agreement. If you want something akin to that then can I suggest the Commercial Services forum might be more appropriate for what you seen to expect almost of right.

Since I deem this to be a duplicate post which does not comply with Rule 5 of our forum rules I am closing it. You may continue in your other thread, hopefully in a more contrite manner.
