    Re: Standard Deviation

    Hi,

    Is this a homework assignment?

And to be honest if you're not sure what the standard deviation is all about I suggest it's not Excel help you need, rather an introductory book on statistics.

Have you read anything about standard deviation? Have you even googled the subject? There's pages of stuff out there which will be more use than trying to get Excel to do something when you don't know what it is you're trying to achieve.

Do a little research first then post back and no doubt we'll be able to help you when you know what you're trying to do.

Perhaps values within 1, 2, and 3 standard deviations from the mean? Maybe you should ask ....

    Re: Standard Deviation

    Hi!

Yes, this is a homework. I am using Excel because the data given to me is through Excel. Actually i know how to get standard deviation if the given data has only one range but given these 4 weeks of data i am not sure how and another question is the "1", "2" and "3". From my previous data with one range i was able to get Upper Limit and Lower Limit but i am not sure on 4 ranges. Thanks!
