I just had Excel 2013 installed. Previously, I had Excel 2010.

In Excel 2013, the first thing I noticed from a user-experience standpoint was the animation. I hated it since it seemed to slow me down. So, I researched how to turn animation off (Windows Button + Pause Break > Advanced System Settings > Performance section > Setting Button (click) > Untick "Animate controls and elements inside windows"

Animation is now turned off but I still don't notice the same Excel 2010 experience.

For example, when I click a cell to highlight a range of cells by dragging my cursor, there still seems to be a delay - almost as if I'm working within a Google doc or something slower.

Question: is there a way to replicate the same cell click, highlight, copy/paste, drag, etc. user experience from 2010 in Excel 2013?

I really don't like how Excel 2013 slows me down or has a delay.
