I'm sorry if this is a duplicate post but I can only find solutions for other versions and it doesn't apply.
I am working in Excel 2010. I would like excel to open each spreadsheet in its own instance and not within the same window.
I have gone to: File/Options/Advanced/ checked "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)"
This works only if I keep all my spreadsheets open. Once I close them all and try to get back in I get the error "There was a problem sending the command to the program". It only allows me to open a blank new spreadsheet, not a previously saved one.
How can I make excel open all my files in a new window when I double click them, and keep this setting?
Thanks for any help!
