Hi,
I have an Excel Document that is linked to an Access Database. Under Data Tab in Excel, I'm able to link to Access, and clicking Refresh updates my Excel Document.
My problem is I'm sharing the Excel File. When I open the document, I'm able to Filter/Sort and manipulate the information any way I want. The problem is when I send the Excel file out to others, they are not able to Sort and Filter the data in the Excel file. They are telling me that options for Sort and Filter are grayed out in Excel. They have tried resaving the document, but it's not working for them.
I've tried breaking the link to Access after refresh, doing a Save As, but this doesn't seem to correct the problem. I've tried going into Data Properties, and unchecking 'Preserve Column Sort/Filter/Layout', and this didn't help either.
Is there anything I can do, other than copy/paste of the data rows and column into a new Excel Sheet? It really seems like there must be some setting I'm not seeing, which is preventing them from having this ability.
Thanks!
